dewindt.us Research Nodes

deWindt Research currently has 11 nodes dedicated to research purposes only. The nodes connect to the Internet via a Squid server located on the primary production network and are accessed via secured connections from a limited number of locations. The nodes are split between 7 virtual machines running under either OVM VirtualBox or FreeAXP and 4 physical machines, the 11th node being the dedicated NAS for Research Computing.

sam - Virtual Ubuntu 20.04 LTS instance
dean - Virtual Ubuntu 20.04 LTS instance
phoenix - Virtual RedHat Enterprise Linux 9.5 instance
rowena - Virtual Windows host
egret - Virtual Solaris 11.4 (x86_64) instance
cougar - Virtual OpenVMS 8.4-2L1 (Alpha/AXP) instance
puma - Virtual OpenVMS 9.2-2 (x86_64) instance
cerberus - Hardware OVM host
orthrus - Hardware OVM host
chimera - Hardware gns3 host (connected to Research and Lab Networks)
rcs - Hardware Storage Server
